My vote in the poll? “No. A cloned pet is not the same animal.”
The truth is right there. It’s only partly genetics. From the time the embryo forms, the environment in the dam’s uterus affects the development, and this continues beyond birth and puppyhood through the dog’s entire life. None of these dogs will be exactly like Booger, but they will take homes away from dogs waiting to be adopted. (I’m assuming she won’t be keeping all of them, unless she is insane. Oh, wait. She got her dog cloned thinking the pups will be identical to their genetic father, losing her home in the process. She is insane.)
